About Avicenna Centre for Brain Health

Avicenna Centre for Brain Health is a network of mental health professionals who have come together to facilitate the mental health needs of our patients in a single location, which eliminates the time and procedural barriers that many experience when seeking support.

We aim to simplify and improve the process for our patients so that they may have access to high quality treatment in a specialized setting which is supported by allied health staff.

How is Avicenna Different?

At Avicenna, we combine virtually all aspects of mental health care into a single service centre. Allied Health Services typically exist at independent settings scattered around the lower mainland. This can be confusing for patients as they often find themselves in contact with a handful of different organizations which all need to communicate with each other.

Avicenna addresses this inefficiency by compounding Allied Health Services into a single network; making it easier for patients to receive all the care they require. Our Clinical Modules at Avicenna are also supported by Physicians meaning our patients can be confident knowing that specialized clinical services (e.g., ADHD Clinic, Memory Clinic and Esketamine Clinic) are monitored by Physicians directly.

This blend of easily accessible and high-quality comprehensive care provides people with an alternative to typical public health options which currently exist. Our program is among the first of its kind in B.C. and we are proud and honoured to lead the way.
